“It feels like I only go backwards baby”

You never really see big blockbuster movies played backwards. There’s an attention grabbing, ethereal quality to it that made me want to blend these movies together into a seamless journey back through the biggest hits of 2020. 

Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys recorded a moody, soulful cover of Tame Impala’s song It Feels Like We Only Go Backwards for Triple J’s Like A Version. I’d been obsessed with it for a good while, when suddenly the opportunity came to use it here. It adds a nostalgic vibe to the promo, a love letter to the movies that wowed us when we couldn’t go outside anymore.
